sickies

Both my kiddos are sick right now, I'm sure they have the same thing. I'm also sure I'll be next.
My son got it first, by his account you would think he was dying. He shuffles around crying and moaning, everything sucks, everything hurts, he'll begrudgingly take his medicine then immediately go into detail as to why he doesn't like it. He has a bad cold, mild fever, sore throat, cough and body aches , but suddenly his legs don't work, he's sure every breath is his last...Husband doesn't make it much better "quick get him to the hospital!", "HE NEEDS DIALYSIS I'M SURE OF IT!", etc.
My daughter by comparison has had higher fevers, thew up, sore throat and all but insists she is fine "just tired".
She has been non stop sleeping, refusing to drink, won't even consider a posicle (all very out of ordinary for her).
However she also refuses any medicine because she "is fine, just tired not sick.".
How do you convince a head strong 7 year  old he will survive if he just gets his focus off it, or a stubborn 3 year old that the medicine will help her when she doesn't believe there is any need? And who will take care of me when I get it?

  1. hope you are getting better… sore throat is not a lot of fun its just uncomfortable and difficult to swallow.

usually, i would take the Nim Jiom Cough Syrup (www.geocities.jp/ninjiom_hong_kong/index_e.htm ) which has a thick consistency formulation. it coats the throat and includes herbs that are particularly good for that application.

i hope it works on you as well.
