Yesterday I got to go out with my best friend since grade 10. She lives far away now so this really was a treat. She is one of those friends you can be more than yourself with. You can really break loose and come out of your comfort zone. Partially because she will embarrass or prod you into unlikely situations and partially because she is so non judgmental, giving and forgiving you forget to be guarded and proper.
She is also the kind of friend one can get into a lot of trouble with.
She came out to celebrate her birthday with her family and they were gracious enough to share her (though I'm pretty sure they weren't really given a choice.)
We drank, we talked, we harassed the waiter a little (but just a little) and we laughed. The kind of laughing you can only do unguarded with a good friend.
I miss you.
