Last weekend

Last weekend we celebrated the birthdays of my mother-in-law and my sister-in-law.

I do have more recent photos of my  mum-in-law but I just really like this one of her sucking a honeycomb.

She is just as lovely now as then.

On Thursday she came out to see my son at swim lessons, he was so excited to have his Nanna there.

Then we took her for dinner at Montanas. It was nice, relaxing and a lighthearted time.

On Saturday we went to my sister and brother-in laws for dinner. It was marvelous as usual, my sis-in -law is a wonderful hostess. I must say I was especially pleased at the normalcy of it all. The house was not in perfect order, the kids were not perfectly behaved, the men-well you know. There was noise and chaos and it was fabulous. We had wine and made pasta and ate delicious ice cream cake, and my husband did NOT fall asleep on the couch or turn the t.v. on. I was most pleased.

Unfortunately my camera was not working.

On Sunday was S-I-L's birthday and so she got to go on a well deserved date with her husband. She is such a beautiful person so full of grace and light and after keeping house, managing 4 children and all their schedules and the millions of other things she handles superbly on a daily basis I think she deserves a birthday date every month.
